I used to love Phracts, have 3 Mastered Phracts, until I started on Fang and Flame... now they are the only mechs I pilot... Speed is addictive when you can pack that much firepower...

blech, not impressed with the Dragon at all. Have made some tweaks and adjustments, still fine tuning it to my play style (hard to do when you are space poor). Actually had to play my phract as it makes money a lot faster to speed this process up, lol.

Getting 250-400 dmg per match and 1-3/3-5 kill/assist numbers. Not bad, but can use improvements.
I am using a standard engine (in the 1N to start), as my right torso was getting wasted really fast and that meant insta death in an XL. Tried dual AC5, AC5/UAC5, trying a Gauss now. Limited ammo with the std 300 engine though. 2ML and 2 SSRM2.

Will take some grinding with my phract to get the cb for a huge XL though. Worth considering. Really wish I could find 2 tn to make those ML into MPL.

You're not wrong about speed being addictive. I went from 151.2 on my Cicadas to 64.x on my Hunchback. What a kick in the face. Sure, I pack a few more weapons and get 10 more tons but that isn't worth it by any stretch of the imagination. Dragon, here I come!

Then I'm gonna shoot Predator in the back!!! :)

I am going to have to say that I am not a huge fan of the Dragon. It is not a bad mech, but for that chasis I would still rather the phract 3d, comparable speed, better hardpoint locations.

one more dragon to go to master though, did not have much time to play.

If you want a real challenge try a K3.
K2 with x2 ERPPC's, x2 ML's, x2 MG's, 20DHS.

You get two big weapons that rarely fire where you're pointing, build up massive heat, and do random damage, two absolutely useless weapons, and two ML's for close/medium fighting :D
