Hi Garth and Devs,
We know why collisions and Falling were removed. It was a prudent decision and we thank you for it.
You have promised this feature will be re-implemented, and this we also thank you for. What Im suggesting is that you please not bring back the 3rd person animation/cut-scene of the mech standing back up. Allow us as the pilot to be in control of righting ourselves. This will (I feel) help eliminate the warping that happened before. At the very least the player wont feel like the control of their Mech is being suspended/or robbed while weapons fire whips them for falling on their face.
Instead, for example; A pilot runs into another pilot and his mech falls forward on his belly. This pilot needs to zero his throttle, then apply reverse throttle to initiate the standing procedure. The other pilot falls to his side. He too has to zero his throttle, then torso twist to either his belly or back. Say he torso twists to his back. Now he applies forward throttle to initiate the standing procedure.
Also I believe falling from same direction collisions shouldn't trigger a fall so easily.
Lights having been designed for speed and more agility shouldn't fall as easily as they had before.
Please at the very least, don't bring back the cut-scene to stand up.
Thank you for the great work all you have done so far.
Aim Easy, Die Hard.
