Myself and several others have had issues in the new paint system where colors were purchased by mistake. Perhaps understandably PGI refuses to refund accidental MC purchases.

The problem is, other than one small menu in the lower right, when you are changing a paint scheme there is no warning that you are buying a color. There could easily be a popup confirming that you want to spend MC on this purchase.

What I am saying is there should be a difference between changing mech colors and buying mech colors.

While frustrating, I suppose, I have to vote no.

Too many electronic nannies holding our hands and slowing things down to begin with. The MC /Cbill cost tab is plainly visible, I think for once, maybe WE should be held responsible to actually take the 2 seconds it requires to look at it, instead of just running with scissors and being surprised when we skewer ourselves.

I have not yet once accidentally bought paint, but then, I also make it a point as soon as I enter the Camo Tab, to scroll down to the "Unlocked" colors and use that tab exclusively, unless I am looking for a new color to begin with.

Just my .02 cbills.

Every purchase made with MCs could have a confirmation. Personally I've just been really careful and it's easy to avoid accidentally buying paint / camo for MCs, so I still voted "No".

This is the big thing in 21st century marketing, where it's in your court if you DONT want the extra stuff they just glued onto your purchase. Like the software installers you have to scan over and uncheck options on to make sure they don't rewrite your browser setup. I have plenty of search bars already, thanks.

Actually it's even older than that, this is how the old Columbia House mail order used to work back in the oldendays. They automatically would tag on the album of the month to your order unless you specifically told them not to.

Just sayin'

I understand we live in a society where we have to put labels on irons that say don't use on clothes you are WEARING, and that people apparently are not able to comprehend that coffee is HOT, but I still prefer to practice accountability. Would it be nice if that same confirmation box added "and are you sure you wish to spend MC?" to it, but the reality is, eventually people stop looking at that and just click yes, THEN realize they just spent money. Ready, Fire, aim, as it were.

In a perfect game, NONE of the purchases, like Endo and such, would be final until you exited the Mechlab itself, instead of just one section of the lab, and this includes things like Upgrades and stuff, too. But we don't have it, so buyer (even accidental) beware!

There is indeed a confirmation for paint / pattern change. A general confirmation for any transaction made with MCs (no matter what) is not actually for the customer, but for the CS department - whenever someone wants a refund exception made, CS can point to the confirm dialog and say "Hey you confirmed the purchase"..

I'm just pointing out, there is a big ol box asking you to take a second and be sure you want to proceed. Clearly visible during this time period is the "MC Total" box. *shrugs*. I guess I am one of those guys that when I "check the oil" I also check the brakes fluid, radiator, etc, because it's just common sense. (Or used to be, in that mystical time of Camelot when Common Sense was common (supposedly).

I can get where PGI or IGP might want to consider it from a legal angle, the same as companies having to put 8 million common sense warning labels on every product. It's just a little sad that that is where we are as a society. No responsibility no accountability, and no ability to think contextually.

They have a lot of annoying boxes already when I'm just swapping paints I already own. The existing user interface information has been pointed out when you're about to burn MC.
