PGI, I was disappointed when I bought Flame (for purposes of having a Hero mech with the 30% increase to c-bills and for what I think is a nice loadout addition to the Dragon line) only to find out that I could not alter its camo scheme. This made me take a closer look at other player's Hero mechs in-game, and it appears that all of the Hero mechs are subject to this limitation. While I can understand on one hand that this is part of their advertising that might entice new players to pick them up, I just couldn't stick with Flame due to its fixed paint job. This isn't a big problem in my eyes, but one I hope can be addressed. Going forward, I believe there will be more player interest in allowing full camo customization on the Hero mechs. I hope you can see to it.

I guess you read it properly? It tells you such in the banner, at least thats what I got from it

-Custom Skin
-Unique Variant

I think the idea is that you cannot mimic the hero mechs, so they will always stand out on the battlefield. Its the same with the founders mechs (only one colour change), surely you've figured that one out too?

A recolor option would be welcome. Preserves the camo pattern of the hero but with some degree of physical personalization. Remember that preview post before the IM when they said it looks great in black and white? The color channels are probably there but currently locked.

As far as figuring anything out...Hero descriptions only suggest that it comes with the custom skin...not that it couldn't be altered. Thus my request to allow it to be altered. As far as the Founders mechs, never had an interest in them nor had any way to test if one could change it's camo.
