Ever since I downloaded the new patch, MWO has been unplayable. I can't see anything in the mechlab, and if I try to launch with any of my mechs, the game crashes.
Tried reinstalling the game, tried installing it to a new location, tried updating drivers and DirectX... all to no avail. Can anyone help?

A fellow mechwarrior had the same problem. He switched from beta video drivers to official drivers and it worked. Someone else had a problem that required a system restore to fix...something about the game corrupting his registry, IIRC.

Did you reinstall from an old patcher download, or did you pull a fresh file from the server? Try the second, if you didn't already.
Is the game throwing any new errors since the patch (check Omicron.log if you speak CryEngine)?
Contact Support and include as much information as you can (screenshots, dxdiag) about what happened, what you did, and how to recreate the issue if possible.

I pulled a fresh downloader from the server (4 times, actually). and installed the game from scratch. The promo animations load, and the mechlab loads normally, but when I click to go to the mechlab, all I see is white circles where my mech's 3d model should be.
Then, once I select one of my bought mechs, the game closes.
I don't get any errors (at least, none in the form of dialog boxes); it's just, click, and close. I'll e-mail support, but in the meantime, does anyone know of anything I can do to get the gae working again? I'm going through withdrawals. =)

After many, many, MANY, MANY reinstalls, I get this error message now, when I click "play" in the MWOPatcher launcher applet:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
