Easy to say "you shouldn't have spent the MC" if you're not a founders cat owner who's spent money on multiple chassis straight away to elite the founders cat only to have anything with a missile buffed, debuffed, buffed again, debuffed again then finally screwed right in the arse by ECM.

It was all over the closed beta forum for weeks prior - people asking - people being told. I'd think a closed beta tester so concerned about resets would at least monitor the closed beta forum for notifications.

I have a Founder's Catapult. I did this. I'm still sore, but my C1 is now a K2 with SRMs and JJs.

After the implementation of trial mechs in CB everyone with an ounce of sense used MC to buy mechs to use and to sell to get space bux for their mech upgrades, because they didn't want to grind out millions of cbills in trial mechs over and over in between wipes and patches that broke the economy. You crazy if you didn't just splurt the free money that was going to get reset in 2 weeks anyway.

Yes, it was said and in response to this announcement most founders said that the game wasn't ready for OB, that the decision to have no more resets was a con and cited exactly the reasons that are being complained about now. Massive balance changes, redundant mechs and useless weapons.

Saying something "is" doesn't automatically mean that "it should be".

The decision to have no more resets and go to open beta was because A) IGP wanted to be selling MC, B] There really were some closed beta testers who had gotten tired of being closed beta testers and were getting frustrated with the resets, C) IGP wanted to be selling stuff

I was a vocal opponent of MWO leaving CB as soon as it did, but I am not on the IGP board of directors, so it was a meaningless effort on my part.

But none of that has any bearing on the fact that it was widely known that the final reset would be just before Open Beta. Anyone who didn't know this I would argue didn't know what they were supposed to be doing in CB - You know, like testing the game, filing bug reports, and offering feedback on the forums. I have no sympathy for anyone who bought their way into CB and then didn't bother to keep track of the progress of the game.

While I wouldn't dare demand a reset of my MC at this point, I may yet request a refund before I uninstall, as the game I invested in is not the game MWO is shaping up to be. I don't expect I'll get one, but it'll be worth a try.

I have very much kept track of the game but still feel completely shafted by the OB reset. Where does that leave me on your scale of care?

No sympathy. The OB reset had to be done because the playing field had to be made as level as possible for new players coming in. Every material thing and skill point gained in CB was ephemeral and subject to reset in CB. Still, we retained our real experience testing the game, and all of our MC (from Founder packages or bought) was returned to us at the start of OB. Founders even got 2 weeks of free premium until PGI got around to installing the button. I really think someone doth protest too much.

We'll see, maybe. I keep hoping ECM will be properly balanced and I won't have to bother with uninstalling. But I didn't buy a game, and I didn't play a game. I invested in a game concept and I'm testing it. It's been work - not play. And the payoff I'm finding lacking. We'll see though. We'll see.

Nope, I will wait till the game I paid for is released. As there are no Clans to be fought yet. I have not gotten the game I paid for. I am still TESTING the unfinished product.

You either haven't fully tested the beta economy due to not spending any MC, or you have tested it by spending mc and for some remarkable reason feel that your garage full of useless non-ecm mechs represent 80$ of value.

Actually, his last chance of a refund was when common sense reasons for a refund ran out, which would probably be about two months ago.

I've spent around 10k of MC, I also have 28k of MC on my account
I don't buy mechs, I buy premium time, why would I want a refund on premium time

I have 9 mechs, only 1 has ECM and in the last week or so I've not actually played the 1 that does have ECM as I've been levelling up stalkers and dragons
