Build #2

I'm currently running Build #2 to pretty good success. It's speed is pretty good and it packs a decent punch. But I stumbled upon Build #1 and it's looking pretty tempting. Although it is not as nimble and slightly less heat efficient than Build #1, it has more long range firepower.
What do you think?

Other than that its okay to run it with all medium pulse lasers. Kinda depends about what you like.
Edit; and I would use a faster engine really. It make the whole mech perform better.

Build 2 is better, but I think you're sacrificing a lot to keep a Standard engine in there.
The Awesome is so squishy anyways that running with an XL really won't drastically lower your survivability. I'd just snag an XL385 and pump Build 2 with more DHS.

Drop in an XL 380, max out your armor (bring it back to the nearest half ton after), and don't stop dancing. Ever. No joke, do not stop moving.
The hitboxes on an awesome are large enough to hit with a dead chicken at 2k.

.
Figure the rest out yourselves... 62 Alpha... Drop a Heat Sink, put a Med Laser in Head you get a 67 Alpha

#2: Seriously too light on the weapons, use a Hunchback-4SP instead.
Past 64 k/ph in an Assault mech you need an XL engine, or risk being outgunned by lighter mechs (Dragons have this issue, going 81 with a STD engine). A heavy mech is better for going 64 k/ph with STD engines.

Was one of these matches, don't remember which one... The "Awesome" is no "Atlas", but it can be piloted with good effect.

yes you do. the stalker's front profile is like an X; a lot of what you intuitively would call center torso, what would be center torso on a catapult, counts as one of the side torsos on a stalker

Shhhh, let him keep running an XL. We need more glass Stalkers out there.
