Free bump for the 5th RCT.

We just did some 12-man coordinated drops with the Devil Dogs last night, then switched to 12v12 5th RCT v.s. Devil Dogs training matches. If you are looking for a group that is well coordinated, fun, and always friendly, look no more!.

Go to http://mwoghostlegion.enjin.com/ to check us out and put in an application.

Had a few 5th RCT guys save my bacon a few nights ago. I stuck with them and we tore the enemy apart, was a lot of fun.

The 5th is one of the most coordinated and overall amazing unit i have had the opprotunity to play with. If you are a True Steiner loyal to the Archon then i will direct you here. They are in the lore as the 5fedcom. Again, I love this place and will never leave if i can help it.

A little over a year ago I started to play MWO and I needed a group to play with. Fortunately I found the 5th and did not have to look any further. They are a great group of guys that have fun effortlessly, but also get serious when playing more competitively or practicing.

Aien Aristeuein "Ever to Excel"

Sixth Book of Homer's Iliad, speech from Glaucus to Diomedes:
"... and he sent me to Troy with strict instructions:
Ever to excel, to do better than others, and to
bring glory to your forbears, who indeed were very great..."

We are the 1st Heavy Assault Company "Ares". Our mission is to learn the tactics and coordination required to protect our team mates from the enemy and to assault entrenched positions. It's often not a pretty assignment, but that's how we get our scars and chicks dig scars.

Our specializations involve damage mitigation with torso twisting, timing our shots to provide the least amount of exposure to our critical internals, and having the discipline and huge balls to wade into a line of firing 'Mechs. Ares is also aggressive. We don't wait for the enemy. We locate, assess, find the weak spot, then send our spear point into it. To do so we employ recon, flanking, suppression, and armor assets.

Recon
Recon controls the flow of information. The first priority of the recon asset is to get eyes on the enemy and relay their position(s) along with general strength and assets. The second priority is to deny the enemy recon its own information, skirmishing with enemy assets to keep them away from our main group. Third priority is to engage the enemy backfield to disrupt enemy focus fire and find vulnerable targets/targets of opportunity.

Flanking and Fixing
A flanking force hits an exposed location revealed by recon. This creates distraction and disruption to enemy formations, firing lines, and priming.

A fixing force gains the enemy's attention, but does not engage. Their objective is to distract while the primary attack comes from a different direction.

Suppression
In order to close within our effective weapon ranges, we use both terrain and suppression. Weapon systems such as the AC/2, AC/5, and LRMs are ideal for keeping enemy 'Mechs hidden and suppressed as we close in.

Armor
Our highly armored assets absorb damage and preserve our more vulnerable, high-damage capable 'Mechs.

With these four assets in place, we use the concepts of strength and aggression to bring a battle to our style of gameplay where we have the advantage.

Join Ares Company.

We are still open, Willing to take new and old. Our very deticated training and Schooling staff are willing to help you better understand the game, or update your skills as a mechwarrior. The Lyran Commonwealth needs you, we need you. For it is you new recruits, that are our hope of winning!

2nd Training Company "Blackjack"

Blackjack Company builds the foundation the rest of the Regiment stands on. The company is named for the Blackjack School of Conflict training program it employs. Blackjack instills a spirit of cooperation between Ghost Legionnaires which leads to the Regiment's successes on the field.

Blackjack training is built on the concepts of Priming, Positioning, Cooperation, Communication, and Coordination. Together these allow our casual players to participate in regular 4-man and 12-man drops with the more experienced pilots. Signing up to join the 5th Lyran Commonwealth RCT gives access to this training that begins in Blackjack Company and continues into whichever field company a new pilot chooses.

4th Striker Company "Deimos"

Deimos Company is a mobile, adaptable arm of the Ghost Legion sent into unknown situations to assess the enemy and break apart their formations. The company is named after the Greek god of dread on the battlefield, the personification of terror. Deimos pilots commit to an action and move quickly and deliberately on the field.

A light-footed company, Deimos is not constrained by chassis weight. When Deimos moves, it is deliberate and with conviction. It is adaptable, using what tools are available to accomplish its goals. Agility and flexibility are key, being able to change the focus on the battlefield quickly and with precision. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Hello! Just want to give you guys an invite to a league we have created:

With the advent of private lobbies we will have the opportunity to play 1vs1, 4vs4, 8vs8, and 12vs12.
We have created traditional ladder leagues to give everyone a chance to play opponents around their same skill level and be the best that they can be.
There is no cost and everyone is invited to play. There is something here for everyone.
League play will begin on Monday 5/5/2015 at 10PM EST. Check the website for all the details!

This merc just had to stop by and voice his appreciation for the skills and demeanor of the 21st GL pilots I've had the pleasure of fighting with, or against. Keep dropping mechs gentlemen.
