Hi guys

Just a fun poll to see what kind of audience this game attracts.

I know the results will be skewed as most players dont post on the forums, but as I say its just for fun.

I was going to put options of 'prefer not to say' for age, 'other' for sex and Antarctica for location, but knowing people in general if they're given a daft option they will often take it

I'm 36 years young, have played most Mechwarrior games over the years and live in the UK. Oh and am of the male persuasion as I expect a large proportion of us are.

I played a grand total of 1 game of table top about 20 years ago as a friend was into it, my favourite bit was choosing the mech which is still the case now - I spend an inordinate amount of time in mechlab tweaking and refining builds, which my inner geek finds deeply satisfying

I started out on BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception and its sequel, then went on to the sims (Mechwarrior, MW2: Mercs, MW3).

This thread should be renamed "MWO forum demographic". Since, ya know, it's a poll of people that waste spend a bunch of time on these forums. It's not a poll of people playing the game.

Posting it here, since my gender isn't listed, so I can't submit the poll. I'm 26, from the Netherlands, more of a fan of Mech sim games in general than just MechWarrior; I first cut my teeth on EarthSiege 2 about fifteen years ago, and I've been loving the genre ever since.

30 year old Mongolian mechwarrior here. Played MW2 in DOS back in 1998, and never looked back. Funny how back then 32MB RAM seemed so good.

Got all the classic novels in hard copy. Love the story.

46 YO, Male. Played TT since '86 when a Marine buddy of mine showed me TRO3025! Also I waste spend 4-9 hours a day playing the game every day.

Nice to know that I have not been getting my a$$ kicked by a 15 year old Asian girl.

Most of the guys (all guys by the way) I have dropped with have been from the US (I ask, but that me just be TS) and in the 40ish age range. I have only seen a couple of feminine usernames, but that just may be weird guys.

About one third from Europe, we need an EU server so there's less lagshielders and not half your team has 120+ ping.
