Bigger Note: You can find up-to-date information, including the vertical firing arcs, by clicking here thanks to the work by smurfynet! This chart will no longer be updated unless I want another one on my wall ;)

Whipped up a chart to show the current horizontal firing arcs of all mechs, torso and arms. All data was taken from MWOWiki so all credit to them for having the information in the first place.

Note: This is the base statistics only, it does not include the bonus from efficiencies!

Hope it's useful to someone!

Does this to include the 10° boost to torso twist from the PilotLab's Mech Tree?

No, sorry I should have specified that. This is base statistics only.

K, then if you account for the 10° it looks like the Hunchback is one 'Mech where there is almost no hiding behind. ;P

well that makes my Cataphract blow....

Didn't they increase the torso twist to compensate for the arm nerf?

Oh yeah, no Dev drives a Cataphract.

Hopefully this is in the works.

As a fellow 'phract pilot, I feel your pain :)

I still ended up abandoning my Hunchy though. I do love my 'phract!

Wait, the CDA-2B has hardpoints in the arms, do they not flex at all?

Nope. As with the Catapult, Jenner etc, the arm weapons have vertical movement but not horizontal. In fact the Catapult has the best vertical firing arc in the game with its "ear" weapons, but that's another story...

Would love to see the vertical version of this.

Reason: My Atlai can't shoot up or down worth a damn with their torso mounted weapons, sigh. Want to avoid my AC20? Get above or below me. Lol.

I wasn't sure how necessary a vertical one would be since all the mechs are relatively close, but then I suppose a lot of them are close in the horizontal one too. I may work on it.

For your information, the Atlas has the second-worst vertical firing arc in the game (46 degrees, 16 for the torso and 30 for the arms) beaten only by the Hunchback (44 degrees, 16 torso and 28 arms).

As previously mentioned, the Catapult has the best with 61 degrees (16 torso and 45 arms).

Great stuff man, makes seeing blind spots that much easier. Also points out why the HBK is simultaneously awesome and crap when it comes to firing arc, dont try to get behind us just climb a slight hill.

Cheers all ;)

I mainly did this to figure out which mech had the best and worst arc in the game, then I realised it was handy for showing blind spots too. I may work on one that includes the bonus from efficiencies and the vertical firing arc too, but no promises!

I want to thank Neonin for his great work to visualize this values.
Thanks to him i added this values to my site aswell. The graphics looks not as fancy as Neonin's but that was the best i could do, while auto generating them.

Cool beans, and I see you put the vertical movement on it too. I'll leave it to the expert then, updating mine manually is a giant PITA :) Everybody go see that one instead from now on!
