I've been poking around sarna.net and what it seems is that the devs have taken a kind of top down approach to the mechs... case and point, the javelin. speed: 92.2km/hr tonnage: 30T armament: 2x SRM 6s. the jenner can be considered superior to this in just about every fashion which begs the question will the devs be able to squeeze in the variation of frames we are hoping for?

(btw has a GM motor in it lol GM endures)

Think the Devs want to fill out the roles for each weight class first. Then presumably when launch comes about they will start adding mechs who's roles are already filled but just bulk up the amount to choose from.

Javelin is a tu rd of a mech in comparison to others in it's class.

Im sure there will be solutions / mechs that fill in the need for variety. This either by finding other mechs from the vast sea that they are, or possibly modifying the existing ones(excluding already implemented). However there might releases that simply stand out as inferior(Like Sears covers this, fits into the existing roles) to others because that fills the gap for those who simply look challenge over synergy of variety and balance. Tails over Sonic, Mario over Princess, Chris over Jill(RE1) :)
