That all this detailed weapons balancing, heat balancing, ect ect ect. that's been talked about over, and over, and rehashed and discussed and tabled out again, and again... I mean is it possible that PGI just hasn't used this stuff because of possible legal issues arising by using these suggestions?

Now hear me out on this. We live in a time where Lawsuits over intellectual ideas happen ALL THE TIME. Could a forum be counted in this? I mean, I can't remember what the EULA for posting here says. I'm almost positive that all ideas here could be used by PGI... but is it possible the "common sense" changes we've been advocating could be a legal issue due to being someone else's preposed idea?

I'm no expert on law, but the idea just hit me that just maybe, this is the issue.

I figured that's pretty much what was said, but, well... think they're still nervous about it?

people can get sue-happy regardless.

I'm sure PGI's internal testers are doing the best job they can to keep all the different weapons as balanced as possible.

If PGI were worried about using someones suggestion and being sued they wouldn't have a suggestions section in the forums. Presumably it's the same as any other kind of feedback a product receives.

Bahah!

I'm actually fairly confident that their feedback is just as passed over as anyone else's.

They test if it works. Find bugs, but thought out input taken into account? That's priceless.

If a squirrel or tester could state otherwise, I'll eat my shoe or your shoe or a dev shoe. Any shoe will do.
