Making this one short:

Everyone should be able to put their final 'gg' etc. in the chat. When the round is over.

Its standard netiquette and nearly every game allows you to do that.

Come on PGI, just some lines of code! :)

Its not always about the match, but about socialization. When you play on a PUG and did well with someone random, it just is fun to acknoledge the wingman by a simple "gj" or whatever.

At least it was when I played team based stuff like CS and the likes.... Though mabe you are right. Maybe the ego kids don't do that anymore nowadays... Guess now its all about: "Noob! HAHA! I am the pwnz0r.... L2P!"

Though I feel that the MWO community is a bit more mature and more oldschool players are hanging around here. Might be due to the franchise being quite old.

It definitely needs an end of game chat window, and allow you to continue looking at the game stats for longer and stick around if you choose. It should free up all mechs on match completion, not on when everyone leaves the match so that it doesn't hold up other people's Mechs.

The current end of game chat is good, but not great. I think you should be able to stay in the end of round screen as long as you want. Release all the mechs for play when that screen hits so it doesnt slow down anyone elses game. Sometimes you are having a good convo with teemmates or even with enemies and then the screen goes away and you cant continue the convo and probably forgot their names. Also, some times you are so busy chatting that you didnt get to look at your scores and other info, or visa versa. I like good sportsmanship, and this is a "community warfare" game so we should encourage chatting and making friends and possibly forming groups/allies/nemesis with the use of this end of round chat system. And, finally.. chat needs a dedicated window in game AND in the end/start round screen (maybe toggleable when in game as to not block view) where you can scroll through messages. Too many times I miss something that was said cause of a fight or some spammer writing random crap, or even disconnect messages wiping the chat log. If critial info was passed to or from me, its gone forever.
