Anyone tried maxing the engine in a spider yet? What kinda speeds can it reach? I figure if it defaults 130 it can probably surpass our old 140-150 limit?

Nope, tonnage based limit of 8.5*30 puts it at 255 maximum. I think this actually makes it slower than the Commando or Jenner.

Pain in the *** to core though, so an XL might be viable.

Slower than the Jenner by no more than 1.26kph, faster than the Raven by the same margin, and faster than the Commando by a little more than that.

I really wanted to mount twelve jumpjets and see how quickly I could break my own legs, but then I saw that both energy hardpoints on the -5V are in the center torso and just... YEEECH.

According to Smurfy-net, it maxes out at 151.5 kph with speed tweak. Slightly faster than a Commando, but slightly slower than a Jenner.

Who cares, the rubberbanding makes it fast enough that its hard to hit regardless.
