I recently changed my loadout for my CN9-D. I like it. But I just noticed that I have no AMS. Oops. So now I have to find some way to trim 1.5 tons off of my build. But what to lose? Armor, ammo, or heat sinks? I don't want to downgrade the engine. The cost is huge and I like my speed.

My options:
1. Trade LB 10-X for AC/5
2. Trade SRM4's for SSRM2's
3. Lose a heat sink and 16 points of armor.
4. Downgrade my engine.
5. Lose a ton of ammo and 16 points of armor.
6. Forget about AMS and use terrain to avoid getting hit.

Wow! This really is the thinking man's shooter.

Here's a Smurfy link:

LB 10-X ammo is 15/ton. SRM is 100/ton whch means 12 shots per ton.

Any advice?

Looks like you have exactly 14 critical slots free... You could add FF to the build and toss another ton of ammo in.

If I add FF I will have no slots left to add the AMS and the ammo. . .

Or drop down to a 280 XL engine, if you have one. You will still do 99.2 KPH.

Trade the LB10-X for an AC/5?

Insanely better range (good for hurting/disturbing/scaring opponents early game), at least as good short-range and it's a lot lighter too. And obviously it's many times better for crits.

Only potential downside is if you're using the LB10-X because you have high latency or bad aim. If that's the case, and you can't reliably hit with the AC/5, you'd have to find tonnage elsewhere.

I will try the AC/5 and the UAC/5. But I do like the LB 10-X for the spread against lag-shield lights.
