most if not all of the builds you list have massive drawbacks alongside being good in their chosen field... if someone is good at playing them and my team mates totally neglect to help me take one down then props to the user and boo hiss to my team
the 3L seems not to have any significant downsides in and of itself (except being a light mech) but most of it's advantages come from netcode and hitbox issues, which are bugs rather than intended
Honestly, I've finally upgraded my RVN-3L to a point where if I play good, I can do quite a bit of damage. I also noticed that the more I play, the better hits on target I am getting (with lasers). I can aim at other players while turning and the whole shebang. The Streaks are nice, but they've always been doing the same amount of damage while the lasers have been missing a lot until I got better with them recently.
Now the downside, if I am having a ****** day (overheating, running into stupid rocks and other ****) then I will die FAST, and not get much accomplished.
It's still a Light mech, I've always had the armor maxed or near max, but the other attributes have slowly been upgrading.
So with that in mind, if you don't be careful (walk out in the midst of multiple heavy mechs), then you will surely die fast.
Each mech starts out O.K., once you upgrade and unlock the bonuses for them, you will realize that each mech has it's strengths/weaknesses. You have to determine the playstyle you want out of this game and build your mechs around that.
