Okay, so this is a Fallout 3-style game, only in Russia, right?

More like a Mix of Borderlands, Stalker and Dead Space, only in Russia...

It's less RPG, more FPS, some character evolving. Very dark with a good atmosphere.

Well, that quenches it for me, then, I won't play it. I prefer the RPG elements.

IGN gave it a 7.0 rating, so i never really bothered...Then again IGN is one of the worst game review site ever. I wouldn't of mind trying it out.

I'd say it's more like a Russian Half-Life 2. It's a story-driven first person shooter more than anything.

It is primarily an FPS, but there are some light RPG elements in it. Your character can buy and sell equipment from vendors, and you can loot people that you kill. As a nice touch, the equipment that you take off of corpses is actually visible on them instead of being in a menu, and you see the items disappear as you take them. It's also cool that the currency you use to buy things is your ammo. Besides food, what else is going to have a lot of value after the apocalypse? :P

It was a beautiful game, I wouldn't trust ratings of game sites in general.

If you want a real opinion of the game play it yourself.
