I played a year long 20 man campaign with my Jenner a long time ago. Eventually, around 8 months in, I was given permission from the GM to slightly change the loadout. I replaced the SRM 4 with an LRM 5 and changed the BK-309 targeting computer to a Clint's Sloane 220 Lockover (we were using the special Battle Technology rules for computers).
When I played MPBT 3025 I used a Jenner most all the time. One time I dropped on a planet alone with 3 enemies in light mechs. They agreed to duel me one at a time, one after the other. It was awesome when I beat the 3rd opponent and I was amazed at how awesome the Jenner chassis and my playstyle meshed.
I am also a big fan of the Thunderbolt and more oddly the Banshee (the 3M variant).
Bonus CSB:
The first TT BT game I played in a large group had me roll up my mech. I rolled a Banshee (original 3E). The enemies got to shoot first on the 1st turn. The first weapon fired was an SRM 2 at my assault mech. One missile hit CT with a possible crit. They rolled 3 crits, all engine... And my role in that 3 month campaign ended 5 minutes into that evening. heh.

So True. I fell in love reading about the Timber Wolf in Exodus Road ( http://www.sarna.net...us_Road_(novel) ) and seeing it in game. There is nothing to hate about this mech; with a top speed of 86.4kph it has the speed to keep up with the lighter mechs and the firepower to take down an assault mech. It excels at any range depending on the loadout and can even be equiped with 4 jumpjets (the Pryde configuration piloted by Aidan Pryde). This mech is a jack of all trades able to play any role and equip just about any weapon, and that's why this will always be my first choice. http://www.sarna.net..._Wolf_(Mad_Cat)

Cauldron Born for me - reasonably quick and can absorb a lot of damage as it closes the range to kneecap another mech with paired LBX's (although I liked to refit with one huge LBX to go for a big punch).
