So again I bring this up....
Why? Because the discussions I've had with former Jenner Pilots tells me it needs to be brought up. Lots of guys I know who piloted the Jenner before ECM and loved it and still love it rarely use it now, they instead pilot the ECM Raven.
So lets look at the light class and see which ones have ECM, Raven - Check, Spider - Check, Commando - Check, Jenner - NOPE (WTF?)!
So why not make the Jenner JR7-D the ECM Jenner?
I know most if not all will scream over another ECM light so I say this to you. Get over it! ECM is here to stay, it's not going to be removed from the game, so quit your crying! ECM will get some changes in the future to make it less of an easy button, so eventually it will be a preference rather then a must have. The Jenner needs viability again and an ECM Jenner would do that.
Do I pilot a Jenner, nope I can't stand lights. So I have nothing to gain from an ECM Jenner. So why do this? Because to many Jenners are sitting on the sideline and until the JR7-D gets ECM they will stay there. Side note, those that bought the Founders pack and have the JR7-D(F) wasted real money to buy something that they can't really use now, I call that a rip off.

one does not fix something by simply adding it everywhere

Lights are meant for scouting, 3 of the 4 have ECM, the 4th needs an ECM variant too.

ECM shouldn't be nearly as potent as it is, and then scouts would not require it.

While I completely agree ECM in its current form has to be rid off the game,I also agree with Werewolf486 Jenner D should also get access to ECM to create some opposition for other ECM-capable lights.

shrug. none of this would be necessary were it not for broken ECM. fix that first, then balance the scales after IMO. does the jenner even have a canon ecm variant? honestly the raven should probably be the only light in the current timeframe with ECM. not sure about the cicada.

Comunity wiped out that idea when devs tried to implement it and I don't regret our decision.

While running some numbers... as much as I love the Jenner, I can't support any Jenner gaining ECM, and especially not the D.
In the short term, it might seem fair, because netcode cap has everyone within 6/35 (0.17 [142857]) of each other. However, once the 8.5 throttle is gone, the Jenner's hard cap increases to 9.86 engine ratio.
http://mwomercs.com/...by-the-numbers/ As noted here, even this is not enough to disengage from a ECM-Streak Raven or Commando in good order. Any chance a Cicada or Spider might have against the current Streak Heroes would evaporate in the face of an ECM-Streak JR7-D.
@Cik: Of the 'Mech base chassis we currently or will soon have, these are known ECM variants.
-Flea: FLE-20 has stealth armour. (This can't happen before 3063.)
-Raven: RVN-3L, of course.
-Stalker: The Star League Royal Stalker, STK-3Fb, has ECM.
-Awesome: There are four known Awesome variants that have ECM. Two of them are hero units with non-standard tech, and the other two are simple not-yets:
AWS-9Q: 3057 model. Runs 4 PPCs, SL, ECM.
AWS-10KM: 3067 model. Runs 2 Heavy PPCs, Snub Nose PPC, ECM; also has compact engine, compact gyro, and endo.
AWS-9Ma: Adam Steiner's 9M variant. Has "communications gear" at 2 tons, as well as a double cockpit and ECM.
AWS-10KM Cameron: Cameron St. Jamais, precentor-martial of Word of Blake, uses this one: it swaps the Heavy PPCs out for Clan ERs, runs Clan DHS, and gains c3i and a targeting computer.

The Jenner Chassis does have ECM in it's lore/history. The JR7-D could have it, it was discussed and voted down before the outcome of ECM (even buffed) was known and now we have worthless or near worthless Jenners. I've spoken to many Jenner pilots who agree with me. They've even gone so far as to point out that nobody who is taking an 8 man seriously takes a Jenner, and only those who miss piloting the Jenner they either spent their hard earned cash to buy as a founder or worked their b u t t s off to buy with Cbills play them in 4 man or pug matches. To deny the Jenner ECM is wrong when there are Jenners with it in cannon, lore, and in previous versions of MW and Battletech. The Jenner D deserves ecm and should be the only Jenner to get it.

and until ECM is implemented to facilitate Roles, nobody will use a scout as a scout, it will be used as the mainforce cloak.

Wrong, our group uses ECM scouts to .... OMG....Scout! Also we see teams using ecm lights to scout us. That would make your statement....WRONG.
