I'ld want them all inlcuded in the elite package. I'ld be happy with one as long as its the catapult and it isn't restriced to missiles (k2 represent). If I had to pay for more i was thinking more like 2.5-5$ a pop. In every f2p mmo they overprice thier little cash shop items.

You know that's a good point. I think the f2p business model is really the wave of the future for video games. It's shocking how easy it is to spend money when you convert it to funny money (in-game currency). It kind of lessens its perceived value over time. For example in World of Tanks: "Hell no I wouldn't spend $1.70 to change the camo on my tank permanently. Oh it's just 400 gold. Ok then..."

I'm guessing that in the long run these f2p games can make a lot more cash than the traditional $50 down, $15/month model.

$60 ELITE Founder's Package Includes:
  • Exclusive custom "Founder's BattleMech." This 'Mech includes a lifetime, per-match C-Bill booster.
  • $80 value of in-game currency* for in-game item purchases.
  • Two-month premium account to MechWarrior Online at launch: Earn XP & C-Bills faster.
  • Founder's Tag - sets your status apart from the crowd & get noticed in-game and on the forums.
  • Early access to the game along with Founder's assets availability starts July 17th.
If anyone has read the package details, it states "Founder's BattleMech" no 'Mechs. So, given you have a choice of one of four 'Mechs (the first four 'Mechs released)... you are likely to only get ONE 'Mech of your choice. Not all four like some are lead to believe. That 'Mech will have added perks, and I'm almost positive is not just a "skin" but an actual variant that follows the available variants from the TROs.

So think of it this way... given the description above, the "Founder's BattleMech" will have a lifetime C-Bill booster per match, plus while having access to a Premium Account, you'll have the added bonus of a Combat Experience booster along with an additional C-Bill booster... so take that "Founder's 'Mech" (singular, not plural) and get an added boost in C-Bills... can't go wrong with that... and think of it this way folks... $60 is a small price to pay for these added perks, and it helps the Devs fund servers, and further expansions in the game (and allows them to get paid too... cause no one likes being broke) ;)

Right! In my mind that's pretty clear... You get one mech in the $60 package. My poll was just to see if people would pay more for additional Founder's Mechs if they could, and if so how much?

So far about 75% of people who have voted would pay for more mechs. I find this very intriguing because I'm sure that the actual ratio is probably higher -- I'm sure people have voted no that have no intention of buying the Elite Founder's Package at all.

I think it would be awesome if it were an actual variant, that would definitely give it more flavor.

Personally... I voted Yes given the poll created was limited and you had to vote on all polls, not just Yes or No... so regardless of my vote... I'd be perfectly happy with only ONE "Founder's BattleMech" upon release of the NA Operation: Inception deal ;) I already have the money (and more) set aside while I wait patiently for July to roll around... hell, I've already got that week off from work just for this... No... no, I'm not addicted to the BattleTech universe... not at all LOL! ;)

Curious, does the bonus c-bills from premium account and the bonus cbills exclusive mech stack? Someone may have already asked and may have answered, but don't recall seeing it.

If this game turns out to be as good as the old Multiplayer Battletech or the Solaris sequel that I beta tested but the game was never released, I'd throw my entire wallet at this game ;)

In all Honesty I want them to have all of the Mechs be founder Mechs. If they are available day one then it should be included in the elite package. Granted its not a deal breaker in any since. I just rather have a Centurion or a Cataphract than the other 4 that are offered in the Elite package as it stands.

Yeah, for $60 I would want more than just 1 mech included. Include the 1 mech in the $30 package and all of them in the Elite.

Honestly id go as high as a box office collectors edition cost for another package, as long as what you get is as good a deal as the current founder's packages (i mean really if you are even THINKING about playing this game you need to get one of them).

I would want the founder version to be able to fit k2. I do not speak from good knowledge, but afaik when you buy a mech you'll buy a variant which determines how many of what type of hardpoints it has and then you fit it the way you want.

Thanks again everyone for participating in the poll. Here's a current summary of the results:

It looks like the semi-final ratio (of people who voted) was a ratio of 3:1 in favor of buying more mechs in a Founder's Package! Most (67%) people thought $10 was reasonable for each additional mech beyond the first. Curiously enough, 41% of people really would buy all 4 mechs available!

It's pretty clear that PG could make a very nice monetary gain here if they cared to implement a feature that sold additional mechs in this package... :D

I would pay for one extra mech to have two different weight classes. That would be my only motivating factor. Nothing more. Granted the C-Bill bump would be nice.
