Seriously, what strategic purpose would that serve? No military would ever design something that disabled their own troops from seeing where their squadmates were. It hasn't really been an issue for me because I've been piloting assaults but now I'm in a dragon and sometimes I need to get back to friendlies. I can't tell where the hell they are because of ECM! What gives?

Isn't that enemy ECM disabling your team?

I don't think so. I don't remember seeing the jamming symbol. I did fraps it, though. I'll watch it again and make sure.

I get this to with certain friendly mechs that have ECM equipped. They simply vanish from the minimap the moment i lose LOS.

This has been a common issue I've seen, since closed beta. It seems that some time the game will not register teammates as, well, teammates, and it treats them as hostiles. Meaning no LOS, no target info.

There is a bug where some times friendlies with ecm disappear for awhile.

It occurred before ECM, so it is not an ECM related bug. It used to happen more than it does now, but I still get it occasionally. It is annoying as ****.

Heres my question, if ECM blocks all radar and guidance systems why does it not block the guidance on the ECMs users mech..

Ah, so this isn't a new thing. I guess I just never noticed it before because I was playing lights and had speed on my side. Damn... that sucks.
