The Thunder Hawk shows up in TRO 3058, so the date of the TDK-7X's return-to-production is likely no earlier than 3056 or 3057.

The second variant, the TDK-7Y, doesn't exist at all until 3058.

The third variant, the Arrow IV-toting TDK-7KMA, doesn't exist at all until 3059.

The fourth and final variant, the TDK-7S, doesn't exist at all until 3065.

Barring an in-game time-skip, it seems unlikely that the Thunder Hawk would even be considered for quite some time.

I'd prefer the Nightstart

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Nightstar

It gets put back into production on 3036. It does lack the needed number of variants though :(

If they did something like:

BNC-3E
64 kph
4 energy hardpoints (3 RT, 1 HD)
3 ballistic hardpoints (3 LT)

BNC-3M
64 kph
7 energy hardppints (3 RT, 3LT, 1 HD)

BNC-3S
48 kph
8 energy hardpoints (1 LA, 5 RT, 1 CT, 1 HD)
1 missile hardpoint (1 RT)
1 ballistic hardpoint (1 LT)

BNC-5S
64 kph
8 energy hardpoints (2 LA, 1 LT, 3 RT, 1 CT, 1 HD)
1 missile hardpoint (1 RA)
1 ballistic hardpoint (1 LT)

the Banshee wouldn't be too awful. Somewhat similar to a Awesome 8Q or Atlas RS in hardpoints, but with better speed.

As Solis and William have shown, the banshee has a variety of variants that will make it a perfect choice for MWO. Not only that it is a classic old mech, and has had little use in other mechwarrior games.

The mauler only has one or two that can be used at this time. While the thunderhawk is years away.

The Banshee has also been said to be Russ Bullocks' favorite Battlemech...so it'll probably be in sooner or later.

It was, however after the Amaris civil war it was discontinued. Because of the succession wars the houses had no way of reproducing the mech. It was brought back in the 3050s. When the ability to make the mech was regained.

i have the TRO 3058, and it says on the TRO and on Sarna that production starts at Mid-3

I have the TR0 3058, it says on is description that it starts production again at mid-3050 by the Lyrans.

What I had posted in my first post... highlighted.. 3050.. says it all, otherwise this topic would not have been started.

READ what the TRO 3058 carefully before you post this, and also check Sarna.

What it actually says, on page 230 of TRO 3050 Upgrade is:
"In the mid-3050s, Norse-Storm BattleMechs announced they would begin reproducing several lines of Star League-era designs, with the Thunder Hawk at the top of the list."

Note that is says "mid-3050s" (with an "s"), signifying "the middle of the span of years from 3050 to 3059", not "the middle of the singular year, 3050" (which would be written as "mid-3050" (without the "s")).

It is you, Mr. Conrad, who needs to read more carefully. :(

Yes, it appears I am in error, I kindly bow to you for your correction. But this mech appears much earlier before it had gone extinct.. we still want to see it again.. 3050.. can mean anything right? This year the next few years..

So sad.. it appears it maybe 2018 before we see it in the game.. may as well ask for the Avatar.. or the NightGyr.. if we see 3052...

The discussion is really moot. The final assault will most likely be the Zeus anyways ...
We just recently had an ISN news flash hinting at it.

Tell that to my ability to mount double ERPPC /Gauss and just kill you from afar?

Also, because we don't have a "dakka" capable assault mech.

Edit: Oh, and because the Devs are mostly taking more iconic mechs/mechs from around this timeline. Not only is the Mauler brand new and shiny (in this timeline), it was also on the cover of what is arguably the greatest MW game ever made.

Taking a thunder hawk out from afar with ppc's and a gauss... You do realize that the thunder hawk mounts tripple gauss rifles in its prime variant?

yes please.

anyhow, the next assault mech will probably be 90 tons, and my vote goes to the Cyclops for that slot, screw the mauler.

I wonder what Banshee variant will be made available... the primary variant.. is hilariously under gun.. by Assault mech standards.. it is like a Charger with its primary variant without XL engine.

Whats funny is how the prime banshee is considered to be one of the worst assaults of its time period (charger is probably still worse) and yet the BNC-3S variant is considered one of the best.

timeline is probably 3 years in the future, but I have been waiting over 10 years to see an Albatross in a MechWarrior game. http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Albatross

Sunder
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Sunder

It's not 95tons, only 90, but we don't need an 80 tonner. We need atlas competition. The Sunder is faster, 120 degree torso twist, and movable arms, and many hardpoint/variant options...The perfect brawler assault, which we need.

No thank you. It's a boring mech. With original art that is neither good nor interesting.

Also, it's not available in the time frame.

Taken out of production after the end of the Amaris Civil War, Thunder Hawk production began again during the mid-3050s.[3][4]

We're already getting a Star League era mech in the Highlander.

The Thunderhawk brings nothing to the table except a more MinMaxxable style mech. It would result in 2 Gauss, 3-4 PPC undoubtedly.

It was too high tech to produce by the Great Houses as they didn't have the tech to make it. It was a Star League only mech until some time after the Clans invade.
