I am personally running a single monitor 24" at 16:10 (1920x1200).
I am curious what the majority of users are running, and some of the more extravagant video systems (as well as the always heated "aspect ratio wars" debate)

I have 1600x900 and 1280x1024. I don't play games with both monitors though, they are more of extended desktop area for me (and I can alt tab without actually alt tabbing :P ).

Does having two different sized and resolution monitors cause you any problems in games (configuration and just visually)?

Like i edited there, I play games with either one, not both.

Back in the day, when dual monitor wasn't really a thing yet with gamers, I figured out how to set it up on my work computer because as a designer I wanted more space for my work. Ever since then, it's been dual monitors all the way, home and at work.

Though I voted dual monitor, I won't actually span the game across two monitors, I will have the game on one monitor and the other just for chat windows, browsers, skype, vent, itunes, whatever. Now if I added a third monitor, I would definitely try to span it across 3 screens just for fun and see how that works for me. On my current system it would likely choke, but on the new one Im about to order, it would probably handle it just fine.

I like my Dell U2412M. Good budget screen for quality, refresh, and size.

I have dual monitors, my brother got the exact same one as me back when we were buying 'em and now with both on a single computer it's great. Something I'd like to see is the use of the second monitor not as a vision extender (because then the sides would interrupt game flow) but as a functionality extender for my cockpit displays or other useful stuff.

I run two 24" monitors each at 1920x1200. The left being the primary (a DellU2412M). It's a great IPS display that I recommend.

i fit in none of these lol. i have 3 monitors, but i only play on the center 21" 16:9 1080p monitor.
on the side i have two 17" 4:3 monitors. for TV or IRC or what have we.if i could play multi monitor games with different resolution monitors, i would. but that doesn't seem to be an option as it is now.

Your poll is way too limiting. First, with multiple monitors people can have all sorts of insane aspect ratios. Even without multiple monitors they can have aspect ratios beyond your limiting three choices. Also, for multiple monitors, plenty of PCs can have more than just "3".

To help: http://en.wikipedia....play_resolution

You'll find in there everything from 17:9 all the way down to 5:4 aspect ratio for all standard resolutions.

I personally run a main display at 2560x1600 in regular orientation, then run two 1680x1050 monitors at both sides in portrait orientation.

A 22" widescreen main at 1680x1050, and a secondary 17" square at 1280x1024 (to the left of the main).

Also a 22 HD cable TV to the right of the main.

And two more 17" squares for my linux server and whatever other project box I happen to have plugged in at the time to the right of the cable TV.

I game on the main 22, have system readouts and realtime hardware info on the left 17. Linux machine for perusing the intarwebz worry free and the cable TV for football games.
