This is the only way. stop dragging it out with tiny fixes and incentives and just make it work.

Not because it is so great, but because you have to give the scout pilot using it some satisfaction, because it is so cumbersome. It looks like ordering in an orbital strike in some games for the scout pilot. Every LRM able mech switches targets and lets LRM fly.

Seriously the only way to make narc viable is these measures
Double ammo per ton
Work thru/in/outside ECM
Last until the beacon is blown off by X damage to body part it is attached to regardless of the firers LOS, making drive By NARCing ( A TRUE TACTIC OF WIN) a viable team support strat? i would totally drive in with a NARC, hit a *******, then fly off wearing sunglasses. THAT sounds satisfying.
If they made these changes would yall consider using it?

The first thing that needs to happen is PGI needs to address ECM. You can't balance things while ECM is so freaking unbalanced. Because then if you do change ECM it messes things up again.

Without the double ammo if the rest went through.
Right now 4 tons for just over a minute of uptime IF you manage to land 8 shots.....AND there are already missile in the air. Get out. You need 8-9 seconds just for missiles to make it 900m what the hell are you supposed to do if the LRM boats have to lock as well. Its ridiculously underpowered for a LOT of weight.

No one uses NARC, nobody uses BAP, while ECM is...no not generally OP, but definitely for it's size and tonnage. If you don't have it in your team - screwed. If you pilot a non ECM Raven, Atlas or Cicada - a loser.
The game is currently balanced around a single, 3ton piece of equipment. How stupid is that?

granted if your team is all cannons and lazors or they are mostly ecm shielded then aye its pretty useless, but i have to agree with a previous comment.......
the matches with lrm teamates.....jesus i feel a little sorry for the poor mechs i tag and narc, they get a sh*tstorm of missiles on them and they have no idea how to get away from it (hint...they cant
nice that the new update will add me a little bonus for using it, i find it quite fun, tag and narc pretty much tell your whole team....KILL THIS GUY...and they invariably do.

From the missle boat side it would be nice if it did work because I find 90% of my shots never make it to the target because the enemey doesn't stay spotted long enough.

until it has a lasting effect, like duration of the match or location takes heavy damage, then i don't see anyone even bothering to use it, no matter how much award you add to its use
