You up the distance your nightvision allows you to see.
The rest is finetuning, but that line gives you a straight advantage.
This. What you've done is great, but it needs to be forced for everyone or for none at all. Its like going into the whole third person vs first person argument all over again.

r_DepthOfField = 0
and this command has been in for ever and you can still find it on custom user.cfg you can search and find on this forum
http://mwomercs.com/...sys-spec-files/
you can remove the line
r_NightVisionViewDist = 1000
and see it infact does not change your distance..

Perhaps some information gathering is on order if anyone does not understand the changes being made, before crying "hack". It shows poorly...

I need the files from this thread to make any user.cfg work for me:
http://mwomercs.com/...sys-spec-files/
This is a good additon to:

Nope, the picture is always "grainy". You can see it best when looking at a clear bright sky (river city day). This fix simply removes the grain.
Off topic:
I posted the link to those sys_spec files above because its the only way to make a user.cfg take any effect ingame for me. Below is a user.cfg that i need to use and than i can tweak from there. If i use the files with an empty user.cfg i get ultra low settings (The user.cfg below is "ingame=high" settings).

There is a reason for the sys_spec scripts.
here are 1:1 "Very High" settings:
modify at your leisure...
TLDR: I use the sys-spec files + the user.cfg Blade provided and set r_DepthOfField = 0 ... just to get rid of the depth of field. The blurry graphics in the distance.

On some Maps it is that Haze you see in the distance. That file filters out the haze effect. I tried it and did not see a huge change but then again I did not see the haze as an issue to start with.
