zBaer did good by anyone's standards. Four of his team did less than 100 damage. Only one other member of his team contributed significantly to his victory. Sure, it can be done on any mech but that's no reason to dismiss his achievement.

Plus it was 8v7.

I can just get a CN9-D and have 2 missile hardpoints and go faster. The only reason to run a YLW is for the AC/20 (or if you somehow manage to fit 2 UAC5s), and AC/20s honestly aren't that great. They're fun to hit ppl with, but it's better to just use a single UAC5.

Depends on the weapon system and targetting surely. Needless to say also how long you survive is critical. Its like the old argument about is the person that disarms and then kills the target with accurate fire or the LRM support that is hailing anything that moves a more valuable contributor. Mysteriously when I play with 2 friends I get less kills than solo as I'm a LL boater as I strip the armour off their torsoes while my group move in fast and then nail them with SRM 6's and LBX's to exploit the damage I've done. 95% of battles I do more damage than them but often don't get the killing blow .... personally I'd just argue we work well as a team. Quid pro quo I've also had a 6-1 kill-assist battle and several 5 kill battles but I'd argue that none of those were solo but team efforts.

Therfe's an unnoficial custom in our Company that pimping ones pug-match score in order to validate a loadout/chasis is to risk being ridiculed. (Otherwise, a 6LL lolStalker would be standard ). Others differ, ofc.

Having said that: props to the guy for taking advantage of a situation, doing some damage, kill stealing everything on the map and likely annoying his teamies, and maybe selling some hero mechs to random n00b ghost cam watchers.

It's a horrible mech. I love encountering enemies driving this mech. The AC20 arm comes off so easy. It's only redeeming feature is the +30% C-Bills.

that build was 2 med pulse lasers, 2 large lasers, and a gauss rifle lmao...
i ran out of ammo like 1/3 through the match and the rest i just kept ripping mechs limbs off with my energy weapons. i'm a terrifyingly accurate shot with a gauss though, so i'd say i probably landed 22-25 of my 30 shots.

Honestly, TruePoindexter's vid shows the Wang in a much better light. But at the end of the day, I really don't think there's a bad mech. I've played enough now to have seen people absolutely destroying in every mech in the game.

It's the archer, not the arrow.

Your XP reward for kill shots looks really low for someone who got 7 kills. I think you have a few team players you should thank for your payout .

I like the Wang too. It's a good c-bill earner and typically the enemy doesn't pay a lot of attention to you.

Thanks! I would add to your analogy that some arrows a little better than others though . If the archer has lousy aim no arrow will land true - but a well made arrow will perform on average better than an inferior one in the hands of a good archer. .

My personal view on the YLW is that it's a cute RPG gimmick. The mech is iconic in lore and has been faithfully reproduced here so we can all pretend to be Justin Allard. It's fun and has some perks over the regular Centurions but at the end of the day if absolute performance is your goal you should look elsewhere.

I've done 7 kills in the 4p more than once. But Raven 4X... what kind of match was that lol! I can only imagine your whole team DCing and the other team getting screwed by mech labbugs and having no ammo or weapons.

I like the YLW. I'm pretty consistent in it too. Really any mech can be good its more about the pilot than the mech. Hitting 3L's with AC20s is fun...

Specifically the people that buy a 3L and run the stock 210 engine in it. Easy pickings.
