I know that the devs said they want this to be an urban game, but that is a design decision that I disagree with. When I'm skirting the edges of the map in Frozen City, and I look out at the pristine rolling snow hills just out of bounds, it makes me long to battle out in the free wilderness that doesn't feel so cramped. It would be a completely different kind of gameplay, and I think it would be nice to have the option of both.
While we are at it, please give us some larger maps. These maps feel slightly too crowded, especially for scouting. The ability to drive for 2 to three minutes without seeing an enemy mech would be really fun, and make scouting more exciting. As it is, scouting is little more than "oh, yep, there is the enemy team" and the enemy team can move from their end of the map to your end of the map within about a minute. I think having larger maps would make each engagement more of a separate engagement in part of a larger battle.
