Do you mean 'config a' loads your ML boat, 'config b' loads your PPC/SL boat, etc?

I'm going to project what I want onto the OP and say yes, that is what is desired.

Yes. In my case it would be like

Ilya Muromets CTF-IM:

Config A: 2* LBX10 (LH,RH) + 4t ammo (distribution), 3*MPL (LT,RT,RH), XL300, 3 DHS(2 eng, 1 LT), AMS+1t ammo (LT), BAP(LT), armor 416 (distribution), modules

Config B: 3* UAC5 (RT,LH,RH) + 6t ammo (distribution), 2*ML (LT, RT), XL300, 0 DHS, AMS+1t ammo(LT), BAP (LT), armor 416 (distribution), modules

Config C: Gauss+PPC-build

Config D: PewDakka XL340-build w/ lazors & machineguns
etc.

Config 0: factory reset w/ costs, asks multiple times that are you absolutely sure 'cause this is gonna cost CB. Amount of cost depending on what u have done pimping your ride, and do you have necessary equipment on your storage.

Just one of those little things that starts to annoy when you need to change loadout multiple times per session, and you play a lot (yes, I'm a no-life nitwit  )

+1 for justice.
I cannot add something constructive because everything that needed to be said has already been said courtesy of VXJaeger and Monky.

I agree, this feature is absolutely necessary. It takes a lot of time to switch between different builds. Maybe you have a standard build but you just want to try something else for one or two games. After that you have to rebuild everything, that's really annoying. Especially armor.

Well shouldn't be too complex to accomplish, if templates are saved to player's local machine and taken to action from there.
Haven't check if I'm correct, but loadouts should be already saved on gamer's machines and they just send info to servers 'bout what kind of Frankenmech is this time coming to play.
If that's correct actually biggest work might be wondering how and where to settle dropdown-menu and "Save/Delete Loadout"-buttons into mechlab :)

A little thingy, but helps players a lot :) I might even take a slight pause 'bout bitching on weapon convergence if this comes :D

Checked this, and I was wrong. Mechloadouts are saved into PGI servers, but no worries.

If it's made that only the loadout that is in use is saved on servers as it is now, and rest loadouts stored into local machine, it would keep serverstress under control and on same limits that it is nowadays.

So if local machine corrupts/explodes/burns/wife shoots it with shotgun to get attention etc, player only loses those stored loadouts and nothing more (loadouts.xml?)

This is doable with an XML file, and a simple one at that. I wont bother asking why this is not in already but just support this suggestion.

Just as long as the server checks the validity of the setup when it's activated, not when you enter a match (groups would be a nightmare). Checking it when it's saved is not enough if the templates are saved locally, because they might always get altered or corrupted.

Anyhow, I secod this idea, it would be a welcome addition.
