What can you do to deal with ecm ravens effectively? I don't really know any good ecm raven hunting tactics for fighting them aside from de-legging them. Anyone have a suggestion?

The only way to win is to not play at all.

Massed Lasers and the HE to shoot them repeatedly along with the sense to watch your reticle to see where the lagshield is. Or another Raven L, ofc.

Learn how to shoot SRM's in a Jenner. Something myself and a very small group of players knows how to do. 4ML 2x SRM4. Bam, dead Raven.

Heat vision + my AWS-8R = Raventoast
I'm not afraid of them.

Edit: What Gamgee said. 2 LL + 4SRM6 is what I use on my 8R and knowing how to use them makes lights go down in 2 volleys. And feels soo gooooood.... ;)

I flit around in a Commando on occassion. I can't tell you why, but I'm generally good at chasing/killing Raven. Jenners? ****** for lunch. Other Commandos? I hate 'em but can usually hold my own. But a Raven is fun times! Doesn't make any sense, I know.

So yeah, what TexAss and Gamgee said. Blast 'em.

Generally speaking, it depends on just how bad the desync is for your particular hardware/connection combo. If lights are just lagshielded, using lasers to figure out the lead point and then deluging them with SRMs works some of the time, though it's still a hard shot. Laser sweeping to try and leg them also works, but tends to take absolutely forever. Both of those tend to get easier the faster your mech is.

If they're lagshielded *and* desync'd to the point where they're doing that 'teleport randomly in a 15 meter diameter area about once a second' thing, I find the best strategy is to hold down alt, press f4, and go start a new game. Or else pray that your team outnumbers them in ECM and streaks and contains enough competent pilots to take advantage of that. Or jump in a cheeseraven yourself.

Sadly, my gameplay seems to fall in the latter category about half the time.

The days of having a fair battlefield with Artillery raining down, streak cats, guass cats, scouts and tactics are pretty much over. Now it's all premades rolling pugs and you only see two types of Mech, brawlers or ECM Ravens, you may as well do what I did and choose one, it's a lot less painful than trying to stop the game heading down the drain.

I have gotten fairly good at hitting light ECM's with my 3xSRM6+Artemis in my Atlas. Just have to lead them a little more and WHAM, their entire body goes Yellow\orange\red.

Its a little harder when they are specifically going after me, but still able to hit em.

Flame Dragon at 107kph does pretty well against them with UAC5, 4 ML, SRM6.

Raven vs Raven + LRM boat ;)

I team up with one other player idealy an LRM mech.

My Raven mounts ECM + TAG + AMS & 360 target retention mod.

TAG the other Raven while ECM is in counter mode and call in the rain! If the other Raven tries the same chances are they do not have TAG or the AMS or 360 tageting so I come out on top of that exchange.

Fair Fights are For Suckers!

I use this mech almost exclusivley as an ECM hunter. In PuG matches killing the other guys ECM fast or countering it is a big help.

The best counter for a 3L raven is 2 3L ravens. They should toast it pretty quick.
