Institute stealth armor (effectively replacing our current implementation of ECM) as an upgrade. What this means that while active stealth armor generates heat as if 2 medium lasers were firing (10 pts) and requires 2 slots taken in every location on the mech, but the head. The system also requires a guardian ECM suite. Have this use the current benefits of our ECM.

Make the guardian ECM suite impact long range missile locks and time to pull up detailed information while in it's cloud.. only. It can also counter other ECM effects, but not stealth armor.

As a counter institute the bloodhound active probe (2 tons I believe) instead of or in addition to our current BAP. You could also make it an upgrade to BAP.

Bloodhound can see through stealth armor and guardian ECM effects and will allow streaks to hit ECMed targets. Allow only certain mechs to equip (mediums? and lights?) This will negate all stealth armor & ECM effects while in range.


I know this isn't canon (in terms of the correct year)... but our ECM isn't canon as is either so lets make it have real drawbacks and a real counter. The current excuse of "well use direct fire weapons" is silly .. WHY? Imagine if they added in reflective armor and made it so strong that it nullified lasers.... come on guys just don't use lasers... duh.
