I would like to rock a Enforcer 5D. The perfect mix of speed, maneuverability armor and firepower, probably the best in it's weight class and the role it was designed for. The quintissential trooper mech.

Bushwacker when it finally gets invented. Before then Raven. Also I like Mad Cats and Vultures a lot even though I am not a clan type of person.

I'm fond of Clan light mechs like the Cougar and Uller, those I look forward to seeing.

Catapult, centurion. The Catapult was always my favorite mech. The centurion concept for MWO looks so bad*** and is one of my favorite tabletop mechs.

The Catapult CPLT-C1 was what I used in a long-ago BT campaign, and has since become my default. Was very glad to see it's a starter here!

In the future, I want an Orion and a Highlander. But for now I'll definitely love running in my Cataphract and Hunchback.

What mechs are traditionally considered Liao anyways? Its been a long time since my tabletop days. I know the Cataphract and Raven are both Capellan designs, but what else?

I'd love to pilot a grasshopper, since it was the mech I used in a Merc-Lance campaign ages ago, but it doesn't look like we'll be seeing that. The Cataphract seems to fill a similar "jumping, close range brawler" role so I might go for that.

I'd prefer a good medium but the Cicada and Hunchback aren't really my style, maybe the Centurion would be ok. One of my lancemates had a Vindicator that always served us well on the tabletop. I'd love to see that or our other Medium, a Whitworth, in the game. If I recall the Vindicator is a Capellan design too, so that'd be pretty peachy.

Vindicator and the Catapault both see heavy use. A few catapaults with a raven friend who loaded a Tag laser? Fun stuff.

An ejection seat.

Seriously, what could be more fun than shooting through the air on a chair with rockets?

I'm actually getting what I want already. the Catapult and Cataphract. Catapult was my first love in Mechwarrior, and in BT tabletop (the few games I played) I ran a single star of Cataphracts, since thats all the BT minis the store had for sale. The 'Pult was pure jet-jumping death, and the 'Phracts were wonderful multirole mechs fully capable of mauling the faces off mechs twice their size.

For a mech thats not in the game, I'd have to say Bushwhacker. I used a squad of those equipped with Jump Jets all through Mechcommander, and fell in love with their versatility.

The Jenner:
It is the strategists Mech.
You choose when, where, how and even if the battle is to begin.
Use your speed to recon, relay information for other weapons, be bait, withdraw, flank, and attack with more than enough weaponry to easily destroy all but the biggest of mechs.

Take a Centurion, swap the AC/10 with a PPC (may or may not be doable depending on how the weapon-mounting system works), add jump jets, and pretend it's a Vindicator.

Comedy option: anything made by Quickscell.
