I usually don't play light mechs so I figured I would give it a go.

It's terrible. It gets mauled by everything.

A little disappointed. ;_;

It needs more weapon mounts. Jump jets mean exactly crap when the other lights you are fighting use a weapon that can never miss.

If I had a bunch of c-bills lying around with nothing to spend them on, I would buy a spider and build it like this: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e737edbc9a90a41 If not I would put the biggest engine possible and just jump jet around. Basically I see it as a fun mech but not the most useful mech if you are trying to win.

Yeah, spider is DOA.

ECW is fun, but its' primary role is scouting. Maps make this role trivial.

Too little HP to matter vs. a Raven or Atlas DC for serious drops.

Gimmick mech at best.

Hardpoints schmardpoints. Two energy spots? two PPC. Can only fit one ballistic? AC/10. Hell, if the raven can fit a gauss this thing can...

How are you going to fit one PPC on a center torso, let alone two?

Unless of course you meant the 5D, but you said two energy hardpoints, not three.

Might be able to jam an AC10 on that other one though. Would be interesting, I mean heck a RVN-4X can fit an AC20.

EDIT: I'm well aware the 5D has two energy points on it's arm while the third is CT.
