Since the suggestions forum seems quite deserted I decided to post this suggestion here.
I recommend the option to enable what I call a "security lock". This would be a mode in which you cannot shoot if this would let your mech overheat. I think it would be a great help for new players.
I constantly meet Trial mechs that overheat and thus become easy headshot prey.
I think such an option could help new players to be more aware of when to shoot and when not.
Veterans of course can always disable this and play as normal. SInce sometimes you want to alpha without considering heat.

Err, no.
heat is one of the 'skill' aspects of the game, there's helping new people but there's also dumbing down the game. A proper tutorial featuring movement, heat, convergance and the like would be a much better solution than just making the game easier.
