P2W or P2L - The jury is divided.
I've been on about this for a while. Not only do certain configs get limited by paying real money (the guy in the EA broadcast about how the Koreans told them in their Free to Play Models "Dont let the free players know that their weapons are inferior"; springs to mind here), but you are trading real money for Parts, usually Level 2 parts like XL engines, which come with the mechs that are "double cost". These double cost mechs are locked by huge Cbill requirement, easier to have just by paying real money. Paying real money ALSO gets you 30% Cbill boost, so you're looking at more Cbills gained and less Cbills spent for huge strides towards "end game", where you own everything. Some people right now have over 100 mil in Cbills, and all the mechs they want and all the parts they can get.
There's also the trifling matter of paying more Cbills to play free, by having to sell off mechs at half price to buy more to "train up" variants to get elite unlocks. So you're paying more Cbills while gaining less in fights compared to payers, and paying more by not getting XL engines and AC/20's and ERPPCs in exchange for real money instead of ground out Cbills.

korean F2P games are good in korea. But koreans will also go to a gaming pub and play until they die. They just have a different reward pathway. A lot of korean F2P games by Nexon are adjusted for the western market. Less grind watnot
its kind of sad that video games are killing off the people with the strongest rewardd pathways. the most ambitious ones with the most perseverance, are often more susceptible to video game addiction. pretty ****** outlook for humanity as a whole if our motivated are becoming less successful to breed.
or maybe its the persistent ones with poorer executive time management/priority
people with strong mesolimbic pathways, but poorer prefrontal executive function

Or are people just being pissy for the sake of being pissy..?
Anyone feel free to explain to me why it is so important to be able to mount a AC/20 and type X missiles..? Because for me it is a mystery.

instead of saying "Oh we wanted to make more money, by making the YLW look more appealing as the only centurion being able to mount AC20 so we are getting rid of the AH, (btw we also made it faster and have very high torso twist)"
and are now ignoring the issue
kind of dishonest.

There was a mech that let you take a big gun and missiles. That mech was replaced by a cash-only mech, that's not quite as nice, and it's a cash-only mech.
That's the issue.

I can understand the "variety" angle but that is the only one. As for the pay stuff... I could buy that if the -Ah was in the cash shop but it is not.
Edit: There is also room for that combo of missiles and big guns with the trenchbucket (not to mention the Blackjack.)

The issue isn't one of power. I explained it already.

Until the hatchet is included in the Wang, then they can't really include the AH.
It's kind of too bad too.. at one point in beta, you could make a pretty crazy mech with an AC20 and a few SRM6's.

And i explained that there is still a lot of room to see that exact combo in other medium mechs. So if it is not power and since everybody is harping on the Cent for it's exposed ballistic hardpoint. I would guess that this is a issue that might solve it self once the Treb and BJ is out.
Ergo it is a non-issue.
