Hey all.

So I just started to get this error. Whenever I launch a game, it starts to load the map, then goes black and crashes and gives me the following error:

CryEngine Error

FRead did not read expected number of byte from file, only 128 of 0 bytes read.

What to do? I've already tried reinstalling.

That ended up being a memory issue for me that was resolved by replacing my memory sticks. :/

That is strange because I have never had an issue with my computer, and still don't, on every other program except this one.

I do have this game on my laptop (even though it's crappy to play it on that) so if it comes down to having to replace memory sticks in my computer, well... I might just have to let this game go. I like this game, but not that much.

As of right now, I'm reinstalling the game once again.

This.

I was randomly getting this error a couple of weeks ago after a clean installation of Windows. Tried re installing multiple times with no luck. Decided to run MemTest and turns out one of my sticks went bad. Replaced it and everything is all good now.

I won't insist you drop money on cheap RAM because I don't know your finances, but... (glances at your legendary founders tag). It's your decision.
