I accomplished what could only be known as death from above with my 3D against a 3F. I stood on top of it, the last mech on the enemy team, and finished it off with battle mech glory!
It feels good to be a noob!

Sadly the "real" Death from above is not working.
I tested it in CB. I managed to land my CPLT on a moving Jenner, we both toppled over but no damage to the Jenner...
Sad sad story..

I landed my stalker (minus both side torsos) on top of an enemy atlas.
Sure, it did absolutely nothing, but just managing it felt sooooooo good.
Also, a team-mate landed on top of me one time, and killed himself with the collision damage.

Hell back in closed beta I walked my C4 down hill right on top of a friendly jenner as he went by. I was stuck there flying around the map @ 149kph for about 15 sec before I fell off.

To my knowledge, and correct me if I am wrong, it is necessary to have jump-jets to propel a mech onto the top of the enemy in order to smash them for it to be called death from above.
So far, I am the one and only in open beta to have accomplished this task.
WOOT!
