In fact, I'm gonna load that game up again and start playing it in between MWO freezing up. Thank you PGI for reminding what a great and stable game UT was back in the day.

I almost felt bad for our opponents when they saw our Highlanders loaded with PPC/Gauss camping our base.

P.S. Sorry sandshrew you guys fought bravely their was so little you could do. It just illustrates how bad this map really is, it's either base defense or capwarrior.

Why don't you like to cap or defend the base? It makes it so you have to switch up your tactics from what you use on other maps.

I don't mind really, we just defend the base with our 4 man lance of PPC/Gauss Highlanders which usually results in an 8-1 or 8-0 win for use. The problem is that you can't leave the cap at all, because unlike other maps, there is just no way to make it back in time to stop a cap.

Yes, you get capped easily but then we will soon have 12 vs. 12 and this might change a lot on bigger maps.
I love the map primarly for the great design and lightning but secondary for the tactical options it somehow enforces (teamplay). It is terrible in PUGs but I have to admit that I don't care about it.
Although I am a bit afraid of 12 vs. 12 on smaller maps like forest or frozen, you already step on each others toes in 8 vs. 8 on this undersized maps. But I am getting dragged away from the topic ...

Nice post. I'm just venting my anger 12 vs. 12 should help the map and if the capping time was increased on larger maps it would help a lot too.
