Thing is..... to do it properly.... he'd have to find a way to show a squad of Death Commandos poisoning the garrison the night before, while the Capellan mechs sat around singing songs of love and praise to Kali Liao, and then show the Mech Lance attacking the Barracks and Infirmary in the early AM hours to slaughter the Pilots and Support Staff.

War is dirty business... but you're a Steiner who got into millitary because Archon liked your mech paintings, you know nothing about it. But neither do most people in the Commonwealth, so no worries, you'll get pomoted soon. :)

hmmmm....
"did you say something , garcon? When did the wait staff start addressing the Peerage? Hmmmm?" *turns back to bevy of beauties Steiner is entertaining while "on maneuvers *, "anyways girls, as you can see, the sheer mass of our Assault Mechs will cow and Liao, Kurita or Marik curs who try to start anything, so you have nothing to fear.... My personal feelings aside ^^, I already choosed the Catapult as the center element of my next pic, skipped the cat for so long now...to make it Capellan is a viable option, also I had more Infantry in mind...

Do you have a favourite Capellan regiment or would like to see a specific one?

I think you're free to go with whichever you like to look at the most... or despise the least.

To really twist the knife, would be GREAT to see a St Ives Lancers unit......

That's very very cool stuff!

No actually I need to rephrase: This is amazingly good artwork, incorporating the nice MWO mechs nicely. Scenes filled with life (and death). Great.

Lol, actually it is exactly like in "Eutin an der Ostsee", although it is still "ein paar Kilometer weg"... We are from that region, and we thought it was funny that the next planet to Tharkad is called Eutin. That's why we called ourselves this way. :)

Afair, I never explained it in detail...so here we go:

I use 3d assets (mechs, environmental stuff) from the game and occasionally some other models to setup the scene roughly in "Cinema 4d"...terrain portions are made with "World Machine"...textures are customized with photoshop as far as needed...this takes around 10 hours...

When everything is fine with the scene I render the whole thing and have a nice multi-pass Photoshop file in the end...which acts as my reference for the painting/post processing stage...after another 10-20 hours in PS, the artwork is ready to go :)

Really? Man, such a great artist so close to home, amazing... Somehow you always think the internet is such a huge place, and never realize that if people gotta live somewhere, it might as well be in Lübeck.

Such a shame you're a Davion though... -_- Although we're supposed to be friends now.
