I think that was already planned later on down the road once the game is in a more stable state.

Not the repair idea but the trees and light posts falling over and stuff like that.

No such thing as a repair Mech in any of the other games. Only closest is "Battlefield repaires". Which are simple repairs that take 5 minutes or so.

Destructible terrain is in the works. It's related to netcode.

The closest thing you could get to a Medic Mech without going way off of BattleTech canon (yes there are repair trucks but there more of an in between battles field repair thing) is a a mech equipped with a fluid gun and cooling fluid.
