What if for whatever reason, in the lead up to Elo introduction, you don't play at all? So when stats are being gathered, you have none? 0.o

You would start at the baseline score I would imagine.

is combat score the new elo rating or what is it ? can one see it somewhere ?

So if you had an ELO score of 0 you would have to play for a long time and never win or do anything else that improves ELO score. I think the game would see you as a bot and you would get banned.
