It should be noted that some people may notice warping with the Spider when they have high ping. We are rolling out new networking code over the next month to improve your gameplay performance.

NOTE: We have noticed in testing some isolated cases of the Spider rubberbanding. If it appears on the live servers to an extreme level, we will either limit the speeds the Spider is capable of or pull the Spider until a fix for it is in place.

There. You all have been warned twice in the patch notes about the potential issues with the spider’s speed and given possible solutions if there are problems. Also we have been told that over the next month we are going to be seeing new netcode improvements. SO PLEASE, Pass this on when you see thread’s barking about lag shields again, and how netcode and ECM wasn’t fixed.

well, the ecm spider has no missiles... so its going to take a considerably higher skilled pilot to actually do some damage with this mech.

as i see it, the minute a spider encounters a 3L, its gg. either run away or die.

Did I miss something somewhere about them fixing ECM apart from "working as intended" ?

Netcode will only fix Lagshield, not the ECM issue. The two combined just make lights gods on the fields.

We all know people will be angry, and make their own posts, regardless of the feedback section, and being warned.

It's just how things are. '(^.^)'

No, it doesn’t mention ECM at all, but it’s guaranteed that there are people who like to bunch the two (ECM and Lagshield) together to try and create this huge over-the-top unfixable problem.
And they don’t realise that they are addressing the issue in chunks, so. It’s getting better.
But also, like PGI said, they are implementing things to fight against ECM, (see patch notes on some modules that sustain lock-on or targeting for longer periods of time). While it’s not a direct counter, it’s a sign that there’s more to come.
