I was wondering, does the damage scale with the amount of ammo left in the damaged area.
If not, are you at least safe if there is no longer an ammo remaining. (ie you fired all your LRM's)


Ammo explosion question

That's correct. No more ammo, no more explosion worries. Damage is proportional to whatever is left in the salvo. A full salvo pretty much means you are toast (without a CASE), a nearly empty salvo will probably be survivable. Gauss rifle ammo does not explode (but the weapon itself does, for moderate damage [still way less than most ammo explosions]).
