I really hope that if they do choose to add it at any point they go for a different scale. That thing looks like it's Nova sized compared to that Atlas. And figuring out front/rear armor on that would be really tough.

Yeah I can see them making it a little bigger. From my image it is hard to see, but with the arms the King Crab is twice a wide as the Atlas, so shots you miss the Atlas to one side or the other would hit the King Crab. It could use much beefier legs and a thicker torso (top to bottom).

Then again...the way LRM's are seen going at targets (from above) I don't think any would ever miss the King Crab.

We already have a 100 tonner.

What you think once they have a single mech in each weight they are going to stop giving us new mechs? We already have a Hunchback and a Centurion, they are BOTH 50 tons... :D

Cataphract was, at best, very generic looking.

The King Crab is simply stupid-looking. If I was in charge of the TRO art and someone sent me that in, they'd be fired on the spot. Actually whoever thought a crab-shaped mech should be a thing should've been fired. No really, do you know how impractical a mech with a... legbase that wide would be? It would constantly be in danger of tipping on its face or on its ***.

Also, the Marauder is weeaboo garbage. Glad to see that's not in, and I hope it stays that way.

he's right. this isn't the MechCommnader 1 55 ton Centurion. it's not Mech Weights they're caring about, it's Mech Roles. current Assaults are the Atlas, which'd work as a command mech and allrounder, and the Awesome is a fire support and energy boat. why not add the King Crab as a Brawler?

Yeah, it would be great to have this mech available. It would be fun to see what happens when a scout pilot is a bit too casual and gets in close to the front of this beast.

Well, in a perfect world, 5 years from now...
  • All the mechs from the 2750, 3025, and 3050 books would be in MWO.
  • the Devs would be working on adding the 3055 mechs.
I'm not saying the King Crab should be the final Assault mech for launch. I would however like to see it in the game eventually. It was in the ranks of both Kurita (ComStar 3039 trade) and Davion (KGC-0000) in 3050.

Why would the stop releasing mechs? I'm sorry if I missed something, but we still have, probably, 10 weeks until official release. Early access is in 7 weeks. Why not continue releasing mechs like they have been?

You know with the King Crab having such a flat chassis, especially after seeing that model, just begs to get a DFA. It would be funny if you could paint a large 'X' on the top of it that has the words: "Land Here" on it. Hopefully you do some damage and get away before you get blown to pieces

Trololololololololol.

That being said, without the Marauder and the rest of the "Weeaboo garbage" 'mechs we would not have Battletech. I suggest one watches what they say.

Also, and I know I will probably be shot for this one, I am partial to the Dark Age/Age of Destruction model for the King Crab.

Wish it had a side view though.
