Another forum troll who thinks all Founders are fanbois of PGI. Blah blah blah. If you'd specified the BT or MW franchise, I'd be guilty as charged.

I am no founder fanboy and he is right. It`s just a few hours ago and they where in a pretty good mood, giving a lot of info to us.

See again, back to that whole communication thing again...
There is a pretty public outcry about the contents ( or lack there of ) in this patch. This is when people should be showing up and engaging with the community. Giving us a roadmap of things that are happening, discussing why certain things didn't make this patch, updating the direction the game is going in.
Instead, silence, and a more frustrated ( and yes, caustic ) forum as a result. These forums didn't start off so caustic, but they certainly are getting worse. The lack of communication is certainly to blame for a lot of that.

Well good answers are not the same as good patches that most of us wanted to see in MWO.

Search for "State rewind", and it should be fairly easy to find from there. I would love to give an actual link but my browsing capabilities are a bit limited right now.

Question:
Would you like to discuss with people that are not able to understand that netcode and art are different departments, even if you explain it to them over and over again?
Just browse the board, you will find a lot of "why spider, we want netcode and stage 3 MM " postings.
Why spider?
BECAUSE IT WAS DONE AND READY TO DELIVER!!!
I don`t see any use in holding back content just to satisfy people to stupid to understand the difference between 3d-art and code. If i where a DEV i would not discuss with them either, some people just don`t have the mental capacity to understand what other people are writing.

No i spent it on crack for your mom. <==== That's trolling. I have no desire to come here and troll you people. It would be like trolling your 13 year old kid (too easy and only fun for a short time)
I just think it's crazy for the dev's of this game to be more open on a third party website. You know, instead of actually being open on their own website? Whats the problem dev's? Can't take the heat here? You guys cant come on this website (your own) and explain to the people putting food on your table, why this game is taking a huge nose dive? All we want is some communication. If this is the way this game is going, fine. SAY SO. That way, all of us whiners and "trolls" can realize we are wasting our time and move on.We play video games for fun, not to be lied to and kept in the dark, that's what governments are for.

You're probably going to throw more "fanboi" garbage at me for this, but: have you actually LOOKED at the state these forums are in? Half of the posters are trolls, half complain incessantly, and the few that don't can't get a reasonable discussion in edgewise. I'd rather PGI stay more responsive over on reddit than try and carve out a foothold here, because the community keeps throwing PGI's goodwill back in their collective faces.

We have received communication.
We have not received "communication that tells us what we want to hear."
Or that's my take on a lot of this.

A lot of the complaints would subside if they gave us weekly updates on what they are doing... I mean... what 5 minutes of your time is too precious to spend on saying "we found out why this is broken..." etc... you know... real communication.

People complain about the netcode because it is broken.
People complain about ECM because it is easy mode jesus-in-a-box with absolutely no downsides what so ever. It's OP and people are tired of it.
Hitboxes are screwed on certain mechs and combined with the netcode it's a major issue. So naturally people complain about it.
The match maker is horrible and needs work. So people are going to complain about it.
If no one brings these problems to light, PGI wont know that they're a problem. Just the fact that they've been brought to PGI's attention time and time again with no fix is just a middle finger to us from an incompetent dev studio.
Why would they introduce a Mech that suffers from at least two of the major problems that are complained about on a daily basis instead of at least attempting to fix the problems it suffers from first?
PGI is out of touch and just doesn't care. They shun the community and then people wonder why the community is toxic.
I care about the future of this title and it has major potential. Something has to give.
