So I'm thinking of starting a 2nd account for the wife. I figure a marathon most likely broken into two 8-hour sessions within the 24 hour period of penny arcade's free premium time to maximize profit. I'm also thinking of throwing an Ilya at it right away for the 30% there on top of it all. Is there a better strategy for maximum 24 hour profitability? I'll be playing the account for the first 24 hours before turning it over to the family, so decent earnings with the Ilya would be expected. And just for curiosity before I pull the trigger, How do all the bonuses stack?

You will earn a ton of cbills. If you want to max more cbills, run only lasers and no weapons / ams that use ammo.

Anyways, yes, premium time + IIya + cadet will all be active at once. They however will not effect each other, each is a modifier to the base earnings ( and cadet is just a huge lump of cash each match ), so for example the 30% from IIya wont increase the bonus from premium and vice versa.

So, if you were hoping that the bonuses would interact, no in that regard they dont stack.

He obviously hasn't, since there are no repair costs anymore. Kill assists and whatnot are the best method of earning cash/xp

@Serapth: Well, in my Forum search-fu, I saw many comments that the penny arcade bonus DOES affect the cadet bonus. This does not sound right to me, and I have trouble believing it...hence the question.
Not fun? why? I play in 8-hour blocks plenty...no big deal. I like the Ilya too, so no trial grind either. I can't think of a funner way to farm a new account, but I'm open to suggestions.

@ MavRCK: No ammo? what? there's no R&R anymore dude And who would run an Ilya without ballistics? yikes!

@GalaxyBuster: Bah P2W...just finding the most effecient way possible to farm. I raised my acount the hard way with no bonuses at all (I did recently buy an Ilya, but I already made my millions). A stalker is my simple goal, which should be achievable easily without an Ilya or $$$. I just figure it's a nice simple starter chassis, and I'd rather grind in an Ilya to kick-start alternate variant farming as well.

@Norris: Sweet! Thanx...any idea of where you were at total after the 24 hours? Number of matches played and whatnot?

I'll probablly start tomorrow morning, so I'm done before patch time. I'll definately log hours and post my stats when I'm done with the 24 hours.

I didn't bother, it wasn't a fiscally viable process.

Consider the cost of an Elmo, the amount of MC needed. Then consider that this buff only lasts for the first 25 games. Once this is done, you're back to making just barely 220k~ on a good game. Thanks PGI, I really appreciate them mucking up my earnings.

So I went back to this account and continued chipping away at a billion CBills.

@Norris: Yeah, I wouldn't do it if I didn't have a real need for another account. I'd rather the wife and possibly kids not use mine, so I gotta do it anyhow. They will be VERY casual players, hence the Ilya purchase. If they want a different mech, I'll probabablly have to hop on and farm it for them, so It will retain it's usefullness to me. I know a couple guys that did multiple accounts just for the F2P aspect of 4 mechbays, but leftover MC should add all the bays this account will need for the foreseeable future.

No it isn't, it seems like it is, but it isn't.

All it really does is scrape (at most) 25 hours off a grind.

Cadet Bonus: 390,309
Total: 447,509

Hero Mech Bonus = 447,509 x 30% = 134,253
Premium Bonus = 447,509 x 50% = 223,755

Oh, you were talking about the cash cow thing. I'd say an extra seven or so million isn't half bad, counts as a cash cow for me.

I am saying it may seem nice, but at the end you're making around 24-25m CBills and nothing more.

Woo Hoo! Account Created, MC bought. Penny Arcade Redeemed (but not activated). Gonna get some sleep before the grind My only remaining concern is skewing any potential ELO ranking on this account by mega-grinding the 1st 24 hours. Once she takes over, Stats will plummet, but I think at that point, the damage will be done. There's no way in H.E.Double hockey sticks I will throw a match or suicide farm, but I may PUG mostly so I don't 'false positive' her stats too much. At some point, I may have her start practicing as well when I need breaks. Wish us luck I'll post a few updates along the way.

We will I figure the first 6 or so matches will go soley to outfiting the Ilya to triple Uacs, ES, and DHS (to quickly get up to speed and make the grind fun), so there will be a lot of 'wasted' overhead right off the bat. My personal goal out of it is 2 fully outfitted stalkers for her to start with....we'll see if we can make that much.
