Good advice here. The SSD will reduce load time considerably even on a mobo that only supports SATA3. The 7870 will definitely be powerful enough to run MWO.

Ultimately this is what i would do, or close too i would pick up a 7870/7950, Bring the DDR 2 RAM up to 8GB, and pick up a PSU that can power the 7870/7950 if required.

Well looks like I'mma have to build the computer piece by piece. As a Student money doesn't come in much xD But I can get the money within 3 months if all goes well on financial side. First thing first will be GFX card. At least then I can use it on my old MOB for now. So please shoot out the best card you think for price and performance. I've seen a lot from people so far DX. Also don't link me that GPU guide. It seems out of date and unrealible to me. I want to know what you think?

As above, buy another 4Gb of RAM (DDR2 can be more expensive than DDR 3  ), and grab something 7870 range and above, 660TI/670 on the Nvidia side.

Do check the power requirements for the card and that you have the required PCIE cables, if not add a PSU to your shopping list.

The check and re-evaluate performance.

If you have to continue on the upgrade path, at least you have the GPU and PSU sorted, and can build on from there.
Your also in the UK like me so shop around, things are more expensive here than they are in the US.
Scan, Dabs, Ebuyer and Amazon are all good places to check.

What OS are you running. if it's 7 and a 64bit version (i do hope it is), it will likely use 2GB+ on it's own, which leaves 2Gb ish for other programs, when playing MWO make sure you minimise background programs to keep RAM available.

The only thing you need is an Intel i5-3570K and GeForce GTX 660 (if you like nVidia). Get whatever supports that brand wise with 8GB ram and you'll be fine.
