Just a thought. Personally, I'm fine if ECM doesn't change much, but I realize lots of people have problems with it, so maybe a small change is in order?
Here's my idea. Make it so that the friendly buffs and enemy debuffs are separated into two separate functions.
Here's what I mean. Instead of having a blanket "disrupt" function, change it so that you have a "cloaking" function that maintains the friendly buffs, IE hiding from long range sensors, and another mode, "disrupt," that only affects enemies, IE stopping missile locks and so on. These would be two separate functions, and you would have to switch between them to gain the desired effect. The function that jams another ECM would stay as well.
Not a huge change, I don't think. And if you had two mechs toting ECM, they could still have the same effect as they do now. Still, it might make things different enough as to make things better. Thoughts?
