I frequent the MWO Forums the most, coming here multiple times a day to see if there is new information from the Devs about anything. When I happened to be checking Pulse, I noticed an article about the Spider and an upcoming Double XP event. I checked the MWO Forums and saw nothing posted anywhere (least of all the Announcements sub forum) about it, so I posted a link to the Joystiq article from last night in the General Forums about the upcoming Double XP event that's going to happen this weekend.

Point I'm trying to make is:

I think news and press releases should also be posted on the forums, not exclusively to news outlets.
