I, like many others who play this game, have serious concerns about key issues of the game. The lack of fundamental multiplayer options such as game lobbies and voice chat communication for all players. Performance issues such as lag shielding, weapon balance, and ECM. Economic Issues regarding how to best encourage players to pay real money, but not discouraging them from the game with overly expensive equipment and mechs. These are issues that should take precidence over all other content. Issues that will decide the longevity of this game.
So my suggestion is to please stop releasing new mechs, until we have fixed the issues we have with current ones. Please stop adding new content such as cockpit accessaries, until key issues like voice chat and matchmaking lobbies have been addressed. I know you guys are working hard on these issues, and new releases are sort of a way to stem the tide of complaints. Something to give back to the fans while you work out troublesome things like netcode. But truthfully, what we want most is just a functional mechwarrior game that runs smoothly. Weve waited over 10 years for a new pc game. We are willing wait if you guys need more time to fix these key issues. You just have to show us you are focusing on fixing them, and to many, it doesnt feel like you are.

It's unrealistic to assume that those responsible for bringing new Mechs into the game are the exact same who can address the issues you mentioned. A game development company is comprised of differently skilled individuals.
Suggestions of "halt the presses until _______ is fixed" might be the task of a programmer or network engineer, leaving creative professionals like level designers, texture artists sitting there twiddling their thumbs and wasting agency resources.
Running a game development company is a balancing act between multiple different concurrent paths of development. Prioritizing one does not mean others should come to a halt.

Just a quick note to one of your points about excessively expensive gear.
I personally think heavier/assault mechs should be MORE expensive, and that particular gear, such as the ECM, the AC20, PPC and Gauss Rifle should cost more as well.
Why exactly? Well, so as to not congest the playing field with the best gear available. Like with all games, mmo's, rpg's, strategy games where gear and units are an all important factor, getting to the point where you can afford and thus play these, is an entirely fundamental aspect of the game. The grind is imo pleasurable knowing very well that when you reach a certain mech or gear, you're likely to have something that is better than what the general public has available.
Of course newbies shoulnd't be punished, but those that to play this game very often should to some extent be rewarded for doing so, by having access to the most expensive gear.
That said, no, I don't play very often. I use what i can afford and enjoy the prospect of something better somewhere down the line. Like with this game as a whole. It'll improve, but it'll take time.
Likely months.
