I did a bit of searching and found nothing related to this.
I know that one of the devs priorities with MWO was to show what the MechWarrior universe can look like with top of the line tech. (CryEngine 3).
Have they mentioned anything about updating the games graphics as time goes on?
For instance is it possible that they will add it effects/features at a later date the same way they add Mechs and Maps?
I would love to see more features added in post launch. Maybe some real-time reflections in the cockpit glass (possibly being able to see a reflection of your pilot), tessellation, some Bokeh DoF, and other goodies that CE3 allows.
Obviously these are not a priority right now, but they would be nice as I said post launch.

Well, they've said they plan to have the game itself run a long time at which point graphics updates seems like an inherent need. However regarding continuous updates, they haven't said.

Yeah I would think so, because of the nature of the title I figure that Graphical Updates would be kind of a given, but you never know. Any devs care to comment?

Look how long people have been playing TF2, Still looks the same some 10 years later, and still a very fun, and compelling game. But regarding updates to graphics, CryTek update the CryEngine overtime (the current build) so it should be easy for PGI to make updates. Looking down the road, if the game lasts a long time, it may need to get a update to a newer version of CryEngine, but I don't see that happening for at least 3-4 years.

I concur, graphics updates are usually part of the development process, depending on whether they stay with the current engine or upgrade to a newer more kickass version. I am sure the CryEngine will work for quite a few years before a need for an upgrade.
Granted from screens and video it looks excellent so far and lightyears away from earlier MW games.

I hope they release a Hi-Res pack as many other titles do.
If you have some GPU horse power you can get to see your mechs in super detail!!

Well with full DX9-DX11 support it should allow just that. F2P models are built on player adoption. The more people playing the better. I expect MWO to be playable on pretty low end systems, and of course CryENGINE3 is very scale able. But people with powerful rigs should not be punished. I believe PGI will be able to offer everyone something with what they have. Giving good scale ability, but also allowing people with powerful gaming rigs to enjoy the game with cutting edge graphics.

Agreed John Clavell it was a solid pick to take CryEngine3. Crysis had a hi-res pack so I'd say we have a very high probability of getting just that.
And yes, it already looks really good from the vids...fingers crossed for when we can finally see if for ourselves.
